Sources of Information
All the data used for analysis in this survey is based on three groups of sources:
- ONESTEP’s on-line survey responses
- Purchased and published surveys
- Internet and other sources on compensation.
Most of the ONESTEP members provided data for the analysis. We also were fortunate in obtaining a sample of government and other non-profit information from people in these organizations Appendix A. We were less successful in obtaining data on the target jobs in the private sector, mainly because so few of these target jobs exist in that sector and, where they do, they are often very different from the descriptions typically found in not-for-profit organizations.
