Alternation Ranking
(Paired Comparison) is a job evaluation method that ranks jobs from two extremes – most important and least important – simultaneously. The most valuable and the least valuable jobs are ranked, then the second most valuable and the second least valuable, until all jobs in the organization have been ranked.
Alternative Work Arrangement
An arrangement reached between employer and employee that allows the latter more flexibility (a compressed work week, flextime) to reach the same operational goals.
